Learn-to-Swim classes (levels 0 - 4) are held each Saturday morning at Croydon Special Development School (10m indoor pool). The pool is privately hired and has no public access during lesson time, ensuring a safe, private environment that is free of noise and other distractions. These classes have 2 experienced and friendly instructors in the water with them at all times. Class sizes for these levels range from 4 - 6 swimmers. Classes run for 30 minutes (levels 0 - 3) or 45 minutes (level 4) and take place during term time only.
Levels 5 - 7 of Learn to Swim (Pre-squad, Novice and Fry Squads) are run at Croydon Leisure and Aquatic Centre (25m indoor pool) to allow for maximum stroke correction, while allowing swimmers to build up their endurance and swim longer distances. These lessons are on Thursday or Friday evenings, running for 45 minutes (level 5) or one hour (levels 6 & 7). Class sizes are 5 - 8 swimmers. These classes take place during term time only.
Upon completion of our Learn to Swim program, all swimmers are guaranteed a place in our intermediate squads run at Ringwood Aquatic Centre 50m indoor pool to continue their swimming.
