Learn to Swim

Seen our flyer? Check out 10 good reasons to join the RSC Learn to Swim Program!

Learn-to-Swim classes (levels 0 - 4) are held each Saturday morning at Croydon Special Development School (10m) & Wantirna Scope Pool (12m). Classes run during term time only, hence there are no classes during school holiday periods. Levels 5 - 7 of Learn to Swim (Pre-squad, Novice and Fry Squads) are run at Croydon Leisure and Aquatic Centre (25m) on Thursday evenings and also run during term time only.

These classes range from 30mins to 45minutes in duration depending upon level, and all level 0 - 5 classes have 2 qualified, experienced and friendly instructors in the water with them at all times. Class sizes for these levels range from 4 - 6 swimmers. Levels 6 and 7 are taught by a qualified and experienced swimming coach and run for 1hour with class sizes of 5 - 10 swimmers.

Upon completion of the Ringwood Swimming Club Learn to Swim program, all swimmers are guaranteed a place in our intermediate squads run at Ringwood Aquatic Centre 50m pool should they wish to continue with their swimming. There is also a chance for all participants in the learners program to compete at intraclub level competitions, club championships and learners championships to win trophies and medals (this is entirely optional)!

Cost of lessons is $12 (incl. GST) per lesson as of Term 3, 2010.

We are now taking enrolements for Term 4, and there are also a limited number of places available to commence immediately!

For further information regarding these classes, contact Mark Blizzard (RSC President) on 9893 1962.
